Disability Living Allowance review
Service User Participation Briefing - The government launched a public consultation on proposed reforms to Disability Living Allowance (DLA) on 06 December.
As an organisation, Action for Blind People will be responding to the proposals in partnership with other visual impairment sector organisations. We want to know what you think so we can ensure your views are included.
Please download the Disability Living Allowance review document which outlines what the proposed changes are and details some of our initial thoughts on how blind and partially sighted people could be affected.
We have included all of the questions the government has invited the public to respond to, with a few additional ones reflecting some of our concerns for blind and partially sighted people.
This is a lengthy document, but we would ask that you take some time to go through it and answer in as much detail as you can.
If you have general comments to make about the proposals, these are most welcome (Question 22 invites people to do this).
