National Eye Health Week
The first ever National Eye Health Week will take place between Monday 14 and Sunday 20 June 2010.
The UK eye sector, made up of health care commissioners, charities and eye health professionals, are working together to launch the week.
The week has been called Vision Matters, and hopes to communicate the importance of good eye health. Vision Matters aims to encourage people to take better care of their eyes and for everyone to have regular sight tests to help prevent sight loss.
To find out more about what the week is about and to find out what is going on please visit the Vision Matters website: www.visionmatters.org.uk
