Big athletics day in Sheffield
We're putting on the UK’s biggest athletics event for blind children in Sheffield in September 2012
Just as the Games in London are coming to an end, we're putting on our own version for our Actionnaires club members.
We've got approximately 150 visually impaired youngsters, aged between 4 and 16 coming along to the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield to take part in a variety of track and field events.
For the sixth year, we're offering the opportunity to try the long jump, javelin and sprinting and other sports for the first time.
Lesley Inganni, our Development Manager at Action said, "The children are so excited about the event, as many don’t get to participate in sport at all outside of their local Actionnaires clubs.
"Every year it gets bigger and better and you never know, these children could be Paralympians of the future."
