In February, Action for Blind People and RNIB will be running free events in Manchester and Preston focused on the latest technology designed to support those with sight loss.
Leading suppliers of specialist equipment and low visual aids will be on hand all day with advice and demonstrations of their latest equipment. Suppliers attending are: Enhanced Vision, Optelec, Humanware, Dolphin Supernova, Guide, Visualeyes, Forcetenco, Sight and Sound Technology, Pamtrad, Cobalt Systems Ltd, VisionAid Technologies & Optima Low Vision Services

Action for Blind People will also be holding a series of free workshops for service users focused on low priced and free solutions, these include: Windows, Mobile Phone accessibility, and Apple Mac accessibility options, as well as a session on the Humanware Trekker Breeze (GPS) and Zoomtext Version 10. Humanware will also be offering event attendees the opportunity to experience “Breeze” walks, first hand, throughout the day.
