I got the voluntary job I had applied for and discussed in my last blog and have been working there for a month now.

I have never been very good at spelling. I never understood the shaking heads when at six in a catholic school I wrote vicar instead of priest as it was easier to spell.
To tell or not to tell?
This week I told an acquaintance of a few years that I was registered blind. “You don’t look blind” she said, then realised how that sounded and immediately got embarrassed.
