Stuart says; "I get a real buzz out of seeing the kids' faces when they achieve something that they didn't think was possible."

Actionnaires is the largest sports project for visually impaired children and young people in the UK. Whether you are visually impaired or sighted, old or young, we need your help to provide opportunities for blind and partially sighted children of school age to participate in sports in a safe, structured and fun environment outside of school time.

Emma says; “As well as being fun, volunteering is a great career opportunity. I get to 'test drive' this type of job before graduating and Action is even supporting me with gaining related qualifications.”

If you are a student or looking for a career in the sports and leisure industry then volunteering with Actionnaires is a great stepping stone and Action will support you all the way.

Sam says; “By volunteering, I'm helping blind and partially sighted children to keep fit, have fun and make friends. It's also great work experience to add to my CV for when I leave university.”

Or if you are of the slightly older generation then volunteering could still be for you.

Chris says; "Volunteering at the club keeps me on my toes, literally! The kids have so much energy; I love working with them and seeing the difference it makes to their development."
