Supporting People
Action for Blind People is currently being funded by Redcar and Cleveland Local Authority Supporting People to provide housing related support designed to help visually impaired people live in the home of their choice, as independently as possible, living across all tenures, irrespective of their financial circumstances.
We can assist with:
- Support with re-housing.
- Support to access equipment and adaptations to your home.
- Support to obtain up to date occupational therapy and sensory needs assessments.
- Support to make your home more safe and secure.
- Support to ensure all bills are received in chosen format.
- Home energy efficiency.
- Welfare rights.
- Independent living.
Where is the project?
This service is offered to visually impaired adults within the Redcar and Cleveland Local Authority area.
Who is it for?
Any visually impaired adult who faces barriers or requires support to maximise or improve their independence.
