Library and resource areas - Solihull
The library in Solihull offers Action for Blind People resource areas for people with sight problems and their friends and family. The library also hosts Action coffee mornings.
Please feel free to come in during library hours or make an appointment with the resource area. You may wish to check with the Resource Officer to confirm availability of an advisor or to arrange a suitable appointment.
You can also visit the RNIB online shop to browse available products before visiting the centres and you can purchase online.
Information, advice and equipment
- Talk to experienced and helpful advisors on hand to help people with sight problems, their families and friends.
- Find out more about your eye condition through our special range of booklets.
- Learn about technology such as video magnifiers and computer systems that can assist people with sight problems to maintain their independence.
- View display of equipment and daily living aids - everything from devices for pouring hot liquids safely to talking watches.
Information is available in a range of accessible formats including large print, audio and braille.
