Actionnaires
Actionnaires clubs started as sports clubs for eight to 16 year olds (under eights are welcome but parent needs to stay). Over 16s are also welcome and are encouraged to take on a leadership role.
What is on offer at an Actionnaires club?
The clubs still have a strong element of sport but we realise that there is a need to offer a range of activities to suit a range of children. We have broadened the offer to include activities such as music, drumming, ten pin bowling, art and dance. These activities are in addition to the broad range of sports on offer, such as swimming, athletics, basketball, goalball, judo.
All activities are organised to ensure children can take part regardless of their vision. Clubs have adapted sports equipment and it does not matter what level of sporting ability your child has.
Action works with organisations such as Sports National Governing Bodies and community clubs to provide pathways for children to continue their interests outside of the clubs.
A close friend or siblings are welcome to attend with your child. It is also an opportunity for parents to meet with others and stay for a chat if they wish.
