Changing sight loss services with 'Seeing it my way'

Parents and guardians of blind and partially sighted children and young people are invited to help us make sure every person with sight loss has access to the same range of information, advice and practical support.

They can do this by taking part in ‘Seeing it my way’.

Endorsed by the UK Vision Strategy, 'Seeing it my way' sets out a range of outcomes that blind and partially sighted people have told us are important to them, such as the need for emotional support, mobility and independence.

So that 'Seeing it my way' can really make a difference in changing sight loss services, we need the feedback of as many parents and guardians as possible to make sure we have the right outcomes.

Parents and guardians of blind and partially sighted children and young people can take part in ‘Seeing it my way’ by completing the online survey at www.vision2020uk.org.uk/ukvisionstrategy or by calling Stephanie Village at the National Blind Children's Society on 01278 764 771 for a copy of the document or to give feedback by phone.

Thanks to everyone who has submitted feedback. Whilst the closing date for 'Seeing it my way' has passed, if you still have responses and feedback to submit, please do return it to us in an envelope and simply address to: FREEPOST UK VISION STRATEGY, or visit the UK Vision Strategy website where you can still complete the online survey.
