Jeremy Hunt MP, Shadow Minister for Disabled People visited Action for Blind People Southern Counties based in Epsom on Friday to learn about its newly expanded service and to give an interview about his role and aims for the future.
Action has for the past four years provided great support to many visually impaired people throughout Surrey and Sussex, with their housing needs. The new comprehensive service can now provide support on a wide range of visual impairment matters, from applying for benefits, advice on assistive technology to help with finding or retaining a job.
Jeremy Hunt MP, Shadow Minister for Disabled People, said: “I am delighted to be associated with Action for Blind People and in particular the launch of their latest service. I have been involved with Action for Blind People before and have seen at first hand the support they offer to blind and partially sighted people and the difference this makes to their lives.”
