Stephen Remington introduces Action's new blog

I am delighted to have this opportunity to take you through some of the key areas in which we are currently involved. Action for Blind People is an organisation which passionately believes in change and that change is best achieved when we work together. I hope that some of the areas which I shall outline over the coming months will demonstrate both of these.

Any organisation, no matter how big, must adopt a realistic approach to how much it can realistically get involved in. Action is of course no different and this is why we look to further our aims and beliefs by working with other organisations in the visual impairment sector and wider across the disability movement. It is an increasingly noisy world and for our voice to be heard we must carefully consider the key issues affecting blind and partially sighted people and those with whom we can work to make the ‘biggest noise’.

I am proud of our success in what we have sought to do. However, I am not complacent and I hope this will become abundantly clear when I outline our work but more importantly when I am able to show the difference(s) we are making.
