Action for Blind People is a national charity with local reach, providing practical help and support to blind and partially sighted people of all ages. Find out more about us.

Action for Blind People and Action for Blind People’s logo are trade marks of Action for Blind People and are not to be used without our prior written consent.
Raffle rules
Thank you for supporting Action for Blind People.
- Participation in this raffle costs £1 per raffle ticket.
- Entrants must be residents of Great Britain and 16 years of age or over. This means that entries will be accepted from Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands and BFPOs.
- Employees of Action for Blind People, who are directly involved in the running of this raffle, are ineligible to enter this raffle.
- Monies raised by this raffle will support the general work of Action for Blind People, Registered Charity Numbers 205913 (England and Wales) and SC040050 (Scotland).
- Participation in this raffle can be made by returning ticket stubs in the post with appropriate payment (cheque payable to Action for Blind People or credit/debit card details) or through this website with payment by credit or debit card where you will be advised of new ticket numbers.
- Raffle tickets will be entered into the draw only when the whole payment is received.
- Action for Blind People accepts no responsibility for raffle tickets which are lost, damaged, illegible or from which the prize-winner cannot be identified, or for any technical failure or event which may cause the competition to be disrupted or corrupted.
- The closing date for postal entries is one working week before the draw date and any entries received after the closing date may not be entered into the draw and may be regarded as donations to Action for Blind People.
- Online entry will close at midnight on 27 June 2013 and any ticket entries received after this date and time may miss entry into the draw and therefore will be considered as a donation to Action for Blind People.
- The draw will take place on 4 July 2013 and if you are one of our lucky winners, we will let you know in writing.
- Raffle tickets will be drawn randomly.
- The first ticket number drawn will win £7,000 cash or a VW up! car.
- The second ticket number drawn will receive £1,500 in cash.
- The third, fourth, fifth and sixth ticket numbers drawn will each receive £500.
- The seventh, eighth and ninth ticket numbers drawn will each receive £100.
- The next five ticket numbers drawn will each receive £50.
- There is an additional prize of £20 worth of Marks and Spencers vouchers that will go to each of the first 50 people to return their tickets by post only (known as the Fast Fifty). Please note in order to be eligible for this prize, your ticket(s) must have been received and payment for them must have been accepted.
- Prize winning cheques will be distributed to winners within 28 days of this draw, and will be sent to the address registered at the time players enter the draw.
- The result of the raffle draw is final. No correspondence will be entered into.
- Winners will be notified by post, email or telephone within two weeks of the draw date. A list of winners will also be published at: www.actionforblindpeople.org.uk/raffle
- Please keep the ticket or allocated number as proof of purchase.
- Where Action for Blind People is unable to contact a prize-winner so that a prize remains unclaimed for six months following Action for Blind People’s first attempt to notify the prize-winner, Action for Blind People may apply the prize as it sees fit, including re-offering the prize in future raffles.
- All winners are required to co-operate with Action for Blind People’s right to publish their win as and where deemed appropriate, and to provide proof of age when requested.
- Action for Blind People is registered with the Gambling Commission to operate this raffle, licence number 000-005131-R-312515-001. This licence is issued under Part 5 of the Gambling Act 2005. The person responsible for this raffle is Joanne Howard.

- In the event of an error, howsoever caused, whether a printing error or otherwise and whether obvious or otherwise, which affects the competition in any way, the organisers reserve the right to administer the raffle as though the error had not occurred. Where the organisers deem it appropriate and/or feasible Action for Blind People will notify entrants of the error.
- Names of winners and results of the raffle will be available on receipt of a request to: Supporter Care, Action for Blind People, 105 Judd Street, London, WC1H 9NE.
- Failure to comply with any of these rules may result in the disqualification of the entry. Action for Blind People reserves the right to disqualify any entry at their absolute discretion.

Self-exclusion
While most of our supporters gamble within their means, we recognise that gambling can be a problem for some.
If you are worried about your gambling or that of someone close to you, GamCare can provide support and information. To support problem gamblers, we operate a self-exclusion policy which means you will not receive any marketing material from us about our raffles and lotteries. The exclusion will start after you notify us with your intentions and will last for a minimum of six months.

Complaints
Any complaints regarding our raffle can be made directly to Action for Blind People by contacting our dedicated Supporter Care team at:

We will aim to respond to initial complaints and queries within 48 hours of receipt of the complaint.
If the complaint is not satisfactorily resolved, the matter will be escalated appropriately.
Every complaint will be taken seriously and fully considered by Action for Blind People in order that a satisfactory resolution can be achieved.
In the event that a satisfactory outcome can still not be reached, the matter will be referred to The Independent Betting Adjudication Service (IBAS), which acts as an impartial adjudicator on disputes that arise between gambling operators and their customers.
- The player will be provided with IBAS referral details.
- The outcome of IBAS intervention will be reported to the Gambling Commission.
Privacy policy
This policy (together with our terms and conditions of use and any other documents referred to on it) sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us.
Action for Blind People works with a number of third party organisations in the operation of this raffle. Action for Blind People retain control and responsibility of any data collected and in the following text where the words ‘we’ and ‘our’ are used, they refer to Action for Blind People or it’s approved suppliers as specified below.

Information we may collect from you
We may collect and process the following data about you: Information that you provide by filling in forms on or linked to our website www.actionforblindpeople.org.uk (our site). This includes information provided at the time of registering to use our site, entering competitions or raffles, or requesting further services. We may also ask you for information when you enter a competition or promotion sponsored by any of our partner networks, advertisers or affiliates, and when you report a problem with our site.
If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence; details of transactions you carry out through our site; and details of your visits to our site including, but not limited to, traffic data, location data, weblogs and other communication data, whether this is required for our own billing purposes or otherwise and the resources that you access.
Where we store your personal data

Any payment transactions will be encrypted.
