Peter's story

Christmas is a time for fun and sharing, but without friends to laugh with, play with and share their toys with, Christmas can be a lonely time for many blind and partially sighted children.

By donating today, you can give the gift of friendship and bring a smile to a child’s face this Christmas.

Read Peter's story and find out how you can give the gift of friendship and bring a smile to a child’s face this Christmas.

Give children a great start in life

Blind and partially sighted children around the country deserve a chance to be included at playtime. Playing is fun and it also helps children develop the confidence and independence that they will need in later life. Actionnaires activity clubs make sure these children can get involved - sadly there are less than 30 clubs in the country.

Nobody should have to face sight loss alone

Dennis who benefits from our ECLO serviceImagine being told you are losing your sight. A million questions are running through your mind. But what if there's no-one to answer them? This happens to lots of people who are losing their sight. We want to change that.

When Dennis lost his sight, five words gave him hope "You will not be alone."

Connie's story

Connie is partially sighted and when we met her she hadn't been able to read a word for over 20 years. Find out how we helped Connie get her independence and confidence back, helping her children with their homework and reading her own private mail.

Leave a legacy

A gift in your Will can be the most powerful and effective way to support those affected by a visual impairment. Leaving a legacy to Action for Blind People, however large or small, will help us to provide our full range of support services to blind and partially sighted people now and in the future. Find out how you can leave a legacy to Action for Blind People in your Will.

Thank you for your support.
