Arsenal football training for North London Actionnaires

Members of the North London Actionnaires got to perfect their football talents during a fun-filled training session at Arsenal’s Community Pitch in Islington, before getting a VIP tour of Emirates Stadium.

New eye clinic service in Greater Manchester

Along with the support of NHS Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale Primary Care Trust and RNIB Group, we've launched a service to provide support to people with newly diagnosed and decreasing sight loss. Debbie Carmichael is employed as an Eye Clinic Liaison Officer (ECLO) at Birch Hill Hospital in Rochdale to provide patients with detailed information on their sight condition and its impact on their lives.

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service provides action for blind people

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service and Action are teaming-up to help vulnerable residents with sight loss to access services and support. The county-wide partnership will be launched at Tamworth Community Fire Station on 07 December 2011.

Hull opticians - saddle sore charity fundraisers

Hull opticians are getting on their bike for charity, cycling over a thousand miles in aid of Action – but without leaving their store – between Sunday 04 – Friday 09 December.
The saddle sore opticians, who work at Dollond & Aitchison (D&A) in King Edward Street, will be installing a gym bike in the waiting room. They expect customers ordering prescription glasses and contact lenses to be rubbing their eyes in disbelief!
