World Glaucoma Week highlights importance of regular eye tests

Sight loss organisations around the world are uniting in raising awareness about Glaucoma during this Third Annual World Glaucoma Week.

Our new Blogger, Shezan Hirjee, has lived with Glaucoma since childhood and his experiences are truly inspirational. Although there is no cure, Shezan has benefitted from surgical intervention, which has restored some of his vision.

However, many people have Glaucoma without realising it, and World Glaucoma Week is all about awareness and understanding of the disease and the importance of early detection in order to get the best outcomes.
